Refectocil Sensitive

HOW DO I APPLY REFECTOCIL SENSITIVE?

The colour gel and the developer gel are NOT mixed but applied one after the other. More Information and video click here.

Additional Tips:

  •     Lashes and brows must be oil free before tinting. Use Refectocil Micellar Eye Make Up Remover, even if the client wears no make up.
  •     Make sure lashes and brows are dry before tinting.
  •     Always remove the Colour Gel & Developer Gel with a dry cotton pad - NOT WET!
  •     Before applying Developer Gel, make sure that the Colour Gel is totally removed with a dry cotton pad - any residue could affect the tinting process.
  •     When applying the Developer Gel, always make sure that the colour of the gel is clear when applied to the lashes and brows.
  •     As this is a different process DO NOT mix the Colour Gel & Developer Gel together this WILL NOT tint the eyelashes and eyebrows.

For a more intense colour result

After removing the Colour Gel with a dry cotton pad wait 3-5 minutes before applying the Developer Gel this allows the hair to dry completely before the application of the Developer Gel resulting in a more intense colour.

This is especially useful for customers with darker hair as it may not grab as quickly as those with fair hair.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REFECTOCIL OXIDATIVE AND SENSITIVE TINTS?

Oxidative Tint - Requires mixing of tint colour and oxidant either liquid or creme. Almost every colour pigment enters the hair shaft.

Sensitive Tint - 2 Step process - NO Mixing! Colour pigments wrap themselves around the hair.

DOES REFECTOCIL SENSITIVE COVER GREY HAIR?

In general, yes. In rare cases eyebrows that are very bristly cannot absorb the tint due to their special structure. In this case the brows can be made ready for tinting with the oxidative bleaching paste BLONDE BROW.

ARE THE SENSITIVE COLOURS MIXABLE?

Yes, it is possible to mix the colour gels, to achieve different colour shades. IMPORTANT: Sensitive Tint Colours CANNOT be mixed with the Refectocil Oxidative Tints.

Also DO NOT mix the Developer gel with the tint gels - the sensitive range requires a different tinting process - NO MIXING! Please read instructions.

CAN I USE REFECTOCIL SENSITIVE IF THE CLIENT HAS HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO OXIDATIVE TINTS?

Yes, because the Sensitive Tints consist of different ingredients. Nevertheless we recommend a skin sensitivity test (patch test) before application.

HOW DO I REMOVE TINT STAINS WHEN USING REFECTOCIL SENSITIVE?

You can remove stains that developed during the tinting process with Refectocil Sensitive quickly and easily with Refectocil Sensitive Tint Remover - this is a different remover to the one available with the oxidative tints.

Apply Sensitive Tint Remover to a cotton pad or Q-Tip and apply to the stain.

TIP: the quicker the stain is treated the easier its removal.

CAN I USE REFECTOCIL SENSITIVE AFTER THE APPLICATION OR EYELASH CURL OR BROW STYLING STRIPS OR BLONDE BROW?

Yes. To achieve the best possible result make sure to remove all traces of the product used beforehand by using the Refectocil Micellar Eye Make Up Remover.

IS A SKIN SENSITIVITY TEST/PATCH TEST NECESSARY?

Yes, Yes, Yes! There are a small number of individuals who may have an allergic reaction to tints, hair dyes and other chemicals. It is only in rare situations that the reaction can be severe. The comfort of the client is essential - to eliminate any discomfort Refectocil strongly recommends a skin sensitivity test be performed before EVERY application. Even people who have their eyelashes and eyebrows tinted regularly can still have an allergic reaction. If the client refuses to have this test, it is worthwhile having as salon policy that the customer would have to sign a waiver. Refectocil Sensitive skin sensitivity test must be carried out 48-72 hours in advance, or if this is not possible, a minimum of 24 hours before the application of Sensitive Tints. This is to ascertain if there is an allergy or sensitivity to the ingredients in the product.

It is IMPORTANT the Colour Gel and Developer Gel do not come in contact.

  • Using a cotton tip, apply a small amount of Sensitive Colour Gel behind the ear.
  • Use a fresh cotton tip and apply a small amount of Sensitive Developer Gel onto another section of skin behind the ear.
  • Allow to dry and leave uncovered for 48-72 hours.

If any irritation occurs do not proceed with the Tinting treatment.
